Questions for Americans only: Is it just me or is world cup soccer being shoved down our throats 24/7?
This time it seems non stop on espn/yahoo sports, etc, etc….I don’t get it…are they hoping for more advertising dollars or something? I don’t know one person that gives rats ass about soccer, be it world cup or not…
Erm, maybe you don’t know many people who care because you don’t know many people who aren’t american. Trust me Football (or soccer to you) is a big deal pretty much everywhere else. I wasn’t aware that Yahoo sports and espn were only shown in america, so why should they limit themselves to american tastes?
Personally, I can’t stand any team sports, the football obsession drives me mad every season, but it makes alot of people happy the world over (except for your tiny corner of it)
