UNEXPIERENCED, soccer coach.?
My local youth soccer league sold positions on a team with no coaches and now they need coaches with or with out experience. I played one short spring season and coached under 5s. I am a wee bit experienced but now i need to create soccer practice plans for u-12. First practice is on wednesday and the first game the following saturday. For the game i wanted to pratice dribbling, passing& receiving, and a littl bit of kicking. I have read that you should keep a theme for each practice though. So any coaching tips for me to give to the kids, to help them inquire the skills from practice, into the game, soccer drills and ideas to make them my own. I used to do coaching as part of a BTEC national course the idea with young people is to pit them against each other in teams make them compete and make it a challenge if your going to do things like penalty shoot out make them see who can score the most. Wally if you’ve heard of it but aiming for circles on the wall. Try to make it fun and challenging.
