I lold can emigrate to New Zealand with my 23 years son?
I am a qualified mental health nurse of 18 years. I really want to emigrate to nz, But I will not leave my son. He is a 23-year-old man with a criminal record, the experience of working abroad (8 months coaching football for children in the U.S.) and a btec national diploma in sports (2 years college course, he has the ucas points to study at the university). He starts college in September will be completely dependent on me as of then. I am relying on the application in October and as soon as I can plan. it is our situation before 12 months of looking, as my son was living at home, but work? really worried about this and would be very grateful if anyone has any experince or good advice on the subject. Thank you
The New Zealand Immigration definition of a dependent child is: "the dependent children of principal applicants are children under 24 years, the unmarried and who did not have their own children, aged (Unless your child is under 17 years). You do not have to live with but you must wager at least primarily on an adult for financial support. "If your son is completely dependent on you and is a full-time student when you apply, I can no issues arising from the Fact that he previously worked.
